Welcome to the webpage of “ThéâtrAmaYur Collective”, a theatre group (New Delhi, India)! If our project touches you, please don’t hesitate to support us, we really need your help!

WHO ARE WE?

The university Francophone theatre group ThéâtrAmaYur was established in 2011 at the Jawaharlal Nehru University ("JNU", New Delhi, India) by the efforts of 11 students and Julie David, professor of French at JNU.

WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO DO?

In 2013, the ThéâtrAmaYur is invited to attend the Youth European Theatre Festival, it is an international festival which gathers 20 groups from 16 countries in Europe, America and Africa (5-14 July 2013, Grenoble, France), organized by the CREARC (www.crearc.com), a non-profit organization and an NGO of youth exchanges by theatre. We are the first Indian group invited to participate in this festival, hence the ThéâtrAmaYur is trying to raise funds for the realization of this project.

WE NEED YOU!

Specifically, the total budget for our trip to France amounts to 878,871 rupees (12,372 Euros) and we have so far managed to collect 45% of the budget.

Your support is vital: it will allow 11 young Indians - none of them have ever left India - to participate in this festival, to see shows, to present their own show, to talk about their country, to grow in their artistic practice, to meet hundreds of young people and to build an intercultural dialogue across borders.

Without your solidarity, this project will not go further. So however small, your contribution is very important!
